Phat Smoke BBQ – Terms & Conditions

1. Booking & Quotes

  1. All quotes are valid for 30 days and based on initial event specifications.
  2. Quotes are not a booking confirmation and are subject to availability at the time of acceptance.
  3. A booking is only confirmed upon receipt of a signed agreement and a deposit $500 or 20% of the total event cost, whichever is greater.


2. Pricing & Payment

  1. All prices include GST unless otherwise stated.
  2. Final guest numbers and dietary requirements must be confirmed 14 working days prior to the event.
  3. Final payment is due 14 days prior to the event date for private clients.
  4. Payments can be made by bank transfer, EFT or cash


3. Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellations must be in writing. The following refund policy applies:

  1. 45 days prior to the event: No cancellation fee, deposit will be refunded in full..
  2. 14-44 days prior to the event: Cancellation fee equal to 50% of deposit.
  3. <14 days to the event: Cancellation fee equal to 100% of the deposit. Additional charges may be incurred if other costs have been incurred.
  4. Cancellation due to extreme weather (for outdoor events) is subject to business discretion and may still incur partial charges.


4. Event Conduct & Liability

  1. The client is responsible for all guests’ conduct and will be liable for any damage to equipment or venues.
  2. Smoking and alcohol consumption must comply with local and state regulations.
  3. Staff reserve the right to refuse service to intoxicated or aggressive individuals.
  4. Phat Smoke BBQ reserves the right to terminate service if the event is deemed unsafe, unlawful or disruptive.


5. Equipment & Setup

  1. Equipment supplied remains the property of Phat Smoke BBQ.
  2. Clients are responsible for any loss or damage to hired equipment.
  3. Extra fees apply for staff overtime, late pack-downs, or additional cleaning required beyond reasonable use without prior discussion.


6. Dietary Requirements & Food Safety

  1. We will accommodate dietary requirements where advised at least 14 days prior to the event.
  2. While we take all reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. All food is prepared in a kitchen where common allergens (including nuts, gluten, dairy, shellfish, etc.) may be present.
  3. All catering is prepared in accordance with Queensland food safety regulations and the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code. Phat Smoke BBQ accepts no liability for allergic reactions or illness where all reasonable food safety practices have been followed.


7. Extreme Weather

  1. Clients must have an alternative venue or shelter for outdoor events.
  2. If weather conditions pose a risk to staff or equipment, Phat Smoke BBQ reserves the right to suspend or cancel service.


8. Force Majeure

  1. Phat Smoke BBQ is not liable for delays or non-performance due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g. natural disasters, transport disruptions, pandemics).


9. Compliance & Governing With Law

  1. These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in Queensland courts
  2. All goods produced by Phat Smoke BBQ are prepared in accordance with standard industry principles and the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code, and are intended to be fit for public consumption.


10. Acceptance

  1. By paying a deposit or confirming a booking, the client acknowledges and accepts these Terms & Conditions.
